Steal Like An Artist: Pablo Picasso
This week children and adults learned about Pablo Picasso and used his works to inspire them to create Cubanism pieces of their own!

Hiking: Fetterley Forest
This week children and adults got together at the Fetterley Forest Conservation area, located in Richfield, NY and made their way up to the overlook of Panther Mountain. It was a surprisingly great day despite the cloud coverage!

Propulsion Week 5
Children got to launch the rockets they built in week 4 and watch them fall back down into the field!

Propulsion Week 4
For this week’s class about propulsion, children built their very own rockets! In week 5 children will be launching them into the air 600 feet and watching them come back down.

Survival|Hiking Week 4
This week children learned about various types of shelters and how to build them. They then were separated into groups where they were tasked with building their very own shelter with only what they had in their survival bags!

Propulsion Week 3
This week children launched coins into bowls to earn rewards for their piggy banks. Children had to figure out what angles and how much force was needed to successfully land coins into the various sized bowls that were provided. We also discussed the parts of a rocket for next week’s propulsion class where children will be following careful instructions and building their own rockets!

Littles Play Group Week 3
This week children of all ages met at the park to engage in free play. They had opportunities to test their agility skills and bond with other children of various ages. The rain held out, which gave everyone more time to laugh and build social skills together.

Survival|Hiking Week 3
This week children learned different ways to tie knots that will aid in survival and shelter building scenarios. Children also finished making their plantain salves from week 1.

Propulsion Week 2
For our second official week of our propulsion class, children refreshed their memories on Sir Isaac Newtons 3 laws of motion before building their very own catapults!

Survival|Hiking Week 2
Parents and children met at the Texas School House State Forest for a two mile hike. Children learned about water purification and where to find water sources. They also learned about various wild edible and inedible plants and mushrooms.
