Survival|Hiking Week 1
This week children learned about the medical benefits of broadleaf and narrowleaf plantain. They also had the opportunity to forage plantain and have hands on experience with making a salve from the leaves they foraged!

Propulsion Week 1
Children learned about what propulsion is and about Sir Isaac Newton. Children got to engage in hands on experiences with Newton’s laws of motion as they built pom pom launchers and tested launching various pom pom shapes and sizes.

Introductory Sewing
Children learned the importance of sewing, and they learned to use these skills in real life applications. Here’s a moment from one of our classes!

Little Hands – Clay Workshop
Children learned about the history of clay, what clay is, and where clay comes from. By the end of the semester, the children involved had an understanding of the usefulness of clay throughout history. Children created objects and shapes using their hands to pinch, roll, squeeze, and flatten clay. The children also used tools to cut and create texture in their projects. Spring Semester Art Class
This semester children had the opportunity to enjoy various hands-on art projects, which were made with the intention of being shared at our April 27th Art Expo. Children’s ages ranged from 2 years old to 10 years old. Here are a few moments from one of our projects!
